Welcome to Tropics College of Business and Management

 

Tropics College of Business and Management-Iganga is the realization of innovative and creative thinking. It was born from an original idea of building a quality primary school, then a high school and finally, the willingness to follow the dictates of science, when feasibility study, posted preference for a high quality college. This was informed by the fact that many high school graduates did not have an exit or back-up plan to life after school. Hence the birth of one of the most dynamic and progressive colleges in recent times.

Although the institution was to focus on education related courses, market dynamics showed the need for business and management related courses and this was adopted to ensure that the college offers relevant and quality market driven academic programs that can foster socio-economic development in Iganga in particular, and Uganda and the rest of Africa in general. All school leavers and workers who would like to advance their education are welcome to the college, which is strategically located at the panoramic shores of Lake Victoria and the source of the longest river in Africa and the world. It at once offers an entertaining and pedagogical scene that makes education a fun they cannot dispense with. Tropics is the place to be as it also offers them a chance to become stakeholders (as alumnae) and partake in the outreach program that focuses on improving the socio-economic status and cultural heritage of the surrounding community. Books are the best community heritage, and as Plato said, they give “a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.”
